Our Story

High school sweethearts

Our first date was on November 5th 1972. We went to McDonalds after his football practice. Glen played football as a linebacker. He was very good, he was mentioned in local newspapers by Gary Barnett " Glen Erfman caught his eye".

We had some classes together. I remember having a neck brace because of whiplash that made it difficult to kiss in the hallways at school but we managed.

Glen's senior year the team played in the City finals but lost State. Glen broke two helmets at that game adding to his disappointment.

After graduating from South High School, Glen went to UNC in Greeley. He was teased about not wanting to miss our phone calls. Story was that he was playing a game down the hall in his dorm and the guys rang his phone to watch him run to catch it. They hung up as he got there. Thinking he missed my call he slammed the phone so hard he broke the handset and had to glue it.

Long distance romance the first year resulted in him packing up and moving home. We both got jobs and decided to get married the next year.

Glen and I worked various jobs until he went to work at the post office.

Glen worked nights and during the day he went to school, sold real estate and got the boys off to school.

For a period we both were selling real estate. When the market went into recession, I adjusted to working in mortgages, REO and sales manager for a builder.

In 1990 Glen graduated Summa Cum Laude . We went on our first family cruise, on Premiere that included Cape Canaveral, the Bahamas and then Disney World.

When we returned I went to work for a local builder.

We were fortunate to buy one of the homes in the community I was working. In Green Mountain.

Our youngest Aaron played football at Green Mountain High school.

Erik enjoyed swimming for Foothills Summer league and then Green Mountain High.

In 2018 we retired and have enjoyed travelling.

We are proud of our sons who live close by. Erik has two children, Etta and Ronan, who we adore. Aaron married a wonderful woman, April, who we also adore.

We have great neighbors.

We have been very blessed, I really believe Uncle Jack who performed our ceremony might have blessed it more than he knows.
